BIENNALE 2023

20.05.2023 - 26.11.2023

Our Journey at Biennale 2023

As the curtains draw on the Biennale 2023, DeMicoli & Associates are thrilled to share our incredible journey and meaningful participation in this prestigious global event celebrating art, culture, and innovation.  The Biennale brings together visionaries, artists, innovators, and enthusiasts from around the world. It serves as a platform to showcase diverse perspectives, creative endeavours, and groundbreaking ideas that shape the world we live in.

DeMicoli & Associates was honoured to be a part of this extraordinary event, where we had the opportunity to showcase some of our projects.

Our exposition was a celebration of Valletta's rich history and cultural heritage, paying homage to the UNESCO World Heritage Site—the resplendent walls meticulously crafted by the Knights. Within this exhibit, we delved deep into the island's DNA, capturing the essence of the sea that profoundly influences Malta's identity. "SEA SAILS AND WALLS" encapsulated the journeys of seafarers from diverse corners of the globe, narrating tales of transformation, resilience, and adaptation to the natural elements over time.

‘Sea, Sails and Walls’ presented a captivating fusion of elements, featuring awe-inspiring drone footage by world renowned photographer Kurt Arrigo, intricate 3D models, architectural graphics showcasing meticulous structures and detailing, an innovative diagrid model, and a bound book chronicling the evolution of historic elements. Through this multimedia presentation, visitors were transported through time and space, engaging with a narrative that explored the intricate tapestry of human existence, all intertwined with the influence of the sea and the monumental walls that stand as testaments to the island's history.

Through a unique amalgamation of low-lying and high-rise structures, our exhibit visually expressed themes of time, space, and existence, inviting visitors to contemplate the evolution and resilience of humanity in the face of changing environments.

The Biennale provided us with a platform to engage with a diverse audience, fostering meaningful conversations, collaborations, and connections. We were humbled by the overwhelming positive response and feedback received from attendees, experts, and fellow participants.

Our participation in the Biennale 2023 reflects our commitment to contributing to the global dialogue on creativity, innovation, and progress. We believe that by nurturing creativity, embracing diversity, and pushing the boundaries, we can create a better, more connected world.

As we bid adieu to Biennale 2023, we carry with us the inspiration and experiences gained.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The European Cultural Centre, organizers Benedetta Bianchi, Ilaria Marcatelli, partners, visitors, and everyone involved in making this event a grand success.

Stay tuned as we continue our journey of innovation, constantly striving to bring forth solutions that shape the future. Together, let's continue to explore, create, and inspire!

Thank you for being a part of our Biennale 2023 experience.
