LAGUNA

An opportunity arose to design a high quality, low-rise residential development, that would further enhance the prominent Portomaso Waterfront. The project was inspired through a strong ambition to connect residents with nature. Taking inspiration from the experience of swimming under the bridge deck of a catamaran, this concept developed into a collection of two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments, orientated around a 3,500m³ man-made lagoon. With well-being at the forefront of the design, residents are directly connected to the benefits of sea water, sun, and fresh air with direct access to the lagoon from their apartments.

The illuminated lagoon water extends below the ground floor apartments and with the implementation of glass floors, blurs the boundaries between inside and out. The calming ripple effect of the water reflects a southing pattern within the apartments. The creation of lush islands within the lagoon adds further interest and privacy to these unique residences.
