MOSTA TECHNOPARK

The Mosta Technopark was conceived in the early nineties to attract foreign investment to Malta by accommodating a growing industry of high technology manufacturing. The first of its kind, the project consisted of 22 factories, of which a standard size unit was to be replicate throughout the site. It was designed with complementary common facilities, landscaped outdoor areas and a central piazza.

Unlike most developments being built at the time, the U-Values of external walls were calculated and addressed, where all stone blocks were dressed off site and palletised. Stainless steel ties were used to ensure that joints lay neatly ensuring better insulation.

Malta Technopark became the flagship location for Malta Enterprise (Today MIP) and is targeted at high technology electronics and information technology companies.
